R A C E T U N E U P πŸƒ It's race week again but we also leave Melbourne now until December!! Ryan and I are flying to Doha for the first Diamond League of the year. I will be racing a flat 3km on Friday night so today is just about getting the body moving and running 11km then some faster strides before we fly tonight. B A C K 2 W O R K Today was my first Tuesday session back since Comm Games. I was a little worried about a big running session after a lot of cakes and champagne last week (bridal party stuff) but it went really well. N O T T H E R E Y E T! So even though the opening ceremony was last night and the "Games have begun", I won't be arriving in the village till Saturday. I am not racing till April 11th so my coach and I like to keep things as normal as possible by sticking to routine and staying away from the commotion. P R O G R E S S πŸ“¦ Box jumps has been something I had to re teach myself to do. After breaking my foot twice my brain literally switched off my ability to push off on my left foot. Box jumps has been one of the hardest things to re learn but so important for my event. This video was a great moment for me. 50cm high box πŸ“¦

T R I P L E D A Y S 😩 Ryan is commentating in the background but if you can't hear, he is pretty much saying that I had a really tough session in the morning, then gym late afternoon. Instead of a double run of 30mins in the afternoon, I have to look after my body and not run too much. So instead I run at 75% body weight but fast for 40mins. [3.30min per km~ 11km] It feels like another session!
